December 17, 2015
Governor Nathan Deal and Lieutenant Governor Casey Cagle hosted a well-attended reception for John F. Kennedy, State Senator for District 18, in support of his re-election campaign on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, on the campus of Mercer University. Governor Deal thanked Senator Kennedy for his service as a leader in efforts to increase Georgia’s ability to attract business development and assured attendees that Senator Kennedy was enthusiastically representing the interests of his constituents in Atlanta. Lieutenant Governor Cagle encouraged attendees to support Senator Kennedy’s re-election campaign, informing them that he had been very impressed with Senator Kennedy’s passion and dedication to issues that were important to the state of Georgia and, particularly, to the Middle Georgia area.
“I was both humbled and honored to have the support of two individuals that I have come to call friends, Governor Nathan Deal and Lieutenant Governor Casey Cagle, at a reception here at Mercer University. Their support and the support of those who attended this event are invaluable to me as I look forward to jumping into the 2016 Session of the General Assembly and doing everything I can to represent the interests of Middle Georgia,” said Senator Kennedy after the conclusion of the event. Senator Kennedy represents District 18, which covers Monroe County, Upson County, Crawford County, Peach County, and portions of Bibb County and Houston County. Senator Kennedy will be on the ballot in November of 2016, when he seeks re-election as State Senator for District 18.
